We've been talking about movies with each other and our friends (and anyone else who will listen) pretty much forever. We've been doing it in the slightly more formal context of our videos and the website for about a year now. This whole thing is still a bit of an experiment, trying new ideas, playing with the format, deciding how long pieces of content should be, and so forth. For instance, our earlier videos were longer and we covered more movies in each one. That sort of thing worked well for Siskel and Ebert on a weekly television show, but times are different now.

We decided to make our video reviews more bite-sized, and podcast at greater length on more esoteric subjects as well as pieces that aren't playing now in a cinema near you. More to come on the podcast front, so stay tuned. So far, so good. But one thing we haven't done is ramble in text form.

We'll probably go more in depth here, but apply the usual discretions and warnings re: spoilers. Ideally nothing should take too long to read, but it would take too long to say, so it might not fit in the videos or the podcast. We've come up with a few exciting ideas for some things to put here. At least, we're excited by them. Anyhow, all three of you that are actually watching the site will now be getting even more of our usual brand of cinematic musings.
